The biggest difference between buying from an authorized dealer and buying gray-market is the warranty. Manufacturers explicitly state in their warranty documents that coverage is only valid when product is purchased through authorized channels.

Below is the breakdown of warranty coverage for each brand we carry, sourced directly from their published warranty documents.

SUMMERSET — THE GOLD STANDARD

Lifetime warranty on burners and cooking grates.

Summerset's parent company AMD Direct (Huntington Beach, CA) backs every Summerset grill with the Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty. Per Summerset's published warranty, burners and cooking grates are covered for the lifetime of the original purchaser.

This applies across the entire Summerset lineup — Sizzler, Sizzler Pro, TRL Pro, Quest, and Alturi. Same warranty terms regardless of series.

Direct-to-manufacturer, every time.

F&C Distributors is our authorized U.S. distribution partner for American Made Grills. Ocean Rock USA is our authorized U.S. distribution partner for Elementi Fire and Modeno. Both distributors handle the dealer channel; the warranty itself is honored by each brand's manufacturer directly.

You never chase a distributor for coverage. If a covered component fails, we open the claim with the manufacturer using your original order data — exactly as we do for Cal Flame, Summerset, HomeRoots, and Harmonia Living.

Summerset: Designed and engineered in Huntington Beach, California by AMD Direct, Inc. Products are manufactured globally — manufacturing origin varies by SKU and is disclosed in each product's specification sheet, available via our free spec service.

American Made Grills: Manufactured in Bohemia, New York. 304 stainless with red-brass burners. Distributed through F&C Distributors.

Elementi Fire / Modeno: Hand-cast concrete and marble porcelain fire pits and fire tables. Distributed through Ocean Rock USA in Corona, California.

Harmonia Living: Bi-coastal warehousing in California and Pennsylvania. Powder-coated aluminum and Grade-A teak frames; American-made performance-fabric cushions in Sunbrella, Outdura, and Revolution.

HOW WARRANTY REGISTRATION WORKS

We handle the paperwork.

When you order through Upscale Home HQ, we handle warranty registration directly with the manufacturer using your purchase information. You don't fill out registration cards or visit manufacturer sites. That's true for our direct-authorized brands (Cal Flame, Summerset, HomeRoots, Harmonia Living) and for the brands we source through F&C Distributors (American Made Grills) and Ocean Rock USA (Elementi Fire, Modeno).

Within 5 business days of delivery, you receive a confirmation email that your warranty is active, registered to your name, and tied to your delivery address.

This step alone is one of the biggest reasons gray-market buyers lose warranty coverage — they never register, or the manufacturer refuses to register product sold through unauthorized channels.

WHAT'S NOT COVERED

Standard manufacturer exclusions.

Standard exclusions apply across all brands. Most common situations not covered:

Damage from improper installation or use outside published specifications
Cosmetic wear (surface scratches, discoloration from cleaning chemicals)
Damage from natural disasters or improper outdoor exposure
Replacement parts purchased separately from non-authorized sources
Commercial use of residential equipment
